To create a supportive, caring and adaptive environment that allows individuals integrated access to opportunities in the community.

To provide an enriching, nurturing, supportive environment without bias that empowers individuals with Developmental Disabilities to enhance their personal satisfaction, enjoyment, and quality of life.

Calgary community Day Services is committed to involving participants in defining, choosing and evaluating their service.  We pledge to be flexible and creative in our approach to service and to provide an environment that promotes respect and dignity at all times.

We believe that any person with a Developmental Disability has the fundamental right to freedom of choice, quality of life, equitable treatment and access to stable and adequate supports.

Each of us is unique. Our individuality unfolds as alternatives are explored and implemented. These individual preferences are reflected in people’s homes, workplaces and community activities.

Each of us needs positive relationships to grow.  Growth is realized through interconnections and personalized supports.  Each individual is encouraged to develop and share talents while building relationships.

Our beliefs are modeled through inclusion and harmony.  Through alliances and partnerships we connect to communities.  These valued connections are conveyed in all we do, strengthening personal goals of individuals with disabilities.

We believe that as persons with developmental disabilities age, they have the right to continue to participate fully in their community.  To access quality day programs that meet their changing needs, physically, socially, and emotionally.  As such, they have the right to:

• Community inclusion
• Services that promote and support the highest level of independent functioning
• Have access to other community senior services
• Choose activities that best suit their interests and needs
• Access these services in an environment that is safe
