Relevant volunteer or work experience in human services
Good communication skills, both oral and written
Ability to work in both a team setting or independently as required
Valid First Aid and C.P.R certificate.

Position Duties and Responsibilities:
Assisting and supporting adults with developmental disabilities in pursuing individual activities within a community based mode
Implementing and recording service plans as set out by Calgary Community Day Services, the client and their support network
Regular communication is required between the support workers, client/guardian and the monitor
Ensures that services are provided in a manner that focuses on the satisfaction of the clients and fully supports their rights
Promotes a safe and healthy work environment
Anticipates problems, issues and opportunities and develops solutions
Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability
Manages job responsibilities maturely while focusing on teamwork
Assisting clients with personal care as required
Dispensing and recording any medications required by the client
Client Key-worker and administrative duties as require
Other duties as assigned
